内容提要：
1943年，有成千上万的爱国学生投笔从戎，从中国西南大后方的重庆参军，通过著名的“驼峰航线”被空运到印度北部，加入到中国驻印军的行列中，这就是中国抗战历史上著名的“十万学生十万军”的爱国学生大从军运动。战争中特殊的文化交流增进了中美双方的军人彼此间的了解和合作。本书以这支部队中老兵口述实录的形式，再现当年这段战火中的历史。18万字，100幅图片， 257页。
