The implementation of the new Upper Primary Science Curriculum began withPrimary Four in 2003. In 2005 it is extended to Primary Six, and this marksthe end of the first cycle of implementation. To facilitate implementation inschools, the Curriculum Development Department has published a package ofresource materials comprising a textbook, a workbook and a teacher's resourcebook for each Upper Primary level. The materials have been written to ensureappropriate readability, and to reflect the socio-cultural values and environmentalsetting of Brunei Darussalam. A website has also been set up for use byPrimary teachers. The first editions of these materials are open to improvement.Constructive suggestions from teachers using these materials are welcome.This textbook, entitled 'Go With Science! Primary 6 Brunei Darussalam' ispart of the Primary Six resource package. It builds on the scientific concepts,skills and attitudes that pupils have acquired in Primary Four and Primary Five.I would like to take this opportunity to convey my gratitude and appreciationto all members of the Review Panel for their invaluable contribution towards thedevelopment of this textbook. It is their commitment and hard work that haveled to its publication.
