Discovery starts with a single word - Insect. I know what insects are. Insects are small animals like butterflies and beetles, but not spiders. What else do I know about insects? Learning about insects is introduced from a starting point that your child will already know, encouraging them to find out about their daily life and the world around them. Insects have 6 legs, but caterpillars and centipedes have more. Some people are afraid of them, but not many are poisonous. A few help us and even give us food (like bees).
