PETS考试是根据国家教育部考试中心制定的“全国英语等级考试体系”
进行的统一考试。PETS考试分为初中、高中、大学、研究生及出国留学五个
等级。
PETS考试自制定以来，已逐渐在全国各省市进行推广，不久将成为一种
标准考试。为使参加这类考试的考生在考前作好充分准备，我们特邀曾参与
PETS考试命题的资深教师领衔组编了一套五级PETS备考系列教材，每级一册
。
该教材：
以考试大纲为依据，突出备考特点。
强调语言的交际功能，选文着意时代性、知识性、趣味性和可思性。
课文主题根据考试大纲“交际话题表”选择，每个单元围绕一个主题。
精心设计的练习让考生熟悉考试题型及各级考试对词汇和语言知识的具
