《雅思阶梯听力》共3册，适合于考分在2-5分的考生。第1册所选听力材料难度略低，也比较短，语速比标准雅思考试题慢一些；在题型设计方面，偏重具体信息获取，多为选择题、填表题、问答题和判断题，这些题也是雅思考试中出现频率较高的题型。第2册所听材料词汇量在5000左右，听力材料相对来说比较长一些，这样考生可以锻炼持续听的能力，从而实现听力的提高；题型既有概括性题也有具体信息获取题。第3册所选材料在难度和长度上已十分接近真实的雅思考试，听力词汇量在6000左右，在题型设计上概括性题占比例较大。本套书既可用于自学也可作用培训教材。
