DESPITE having the world's largest number of engineering students,China still lacks high quality education and professionals in the field......To solve the problem,the university plans a "total engineering education".It will require engineering majors to take basic art and management courses.

　　It seems obvious that it is very difficult to grow the number of engineering graduates as quickly as China and India are while retaining the same capability per graduate.Acknowledging the challenge is better than pretending the number of graduates is the only factor.
