这次我们推出的《希望――英语杂志》栏目三年中的精选文章，分为三部分。《我看世界》按照文章难易程度分为初、中级两册。展示的是大自然的奇特景象和国外的风俗民情，在学习英语的同时你可以感受世界，认识自然；《你说我说》展现生活中的英语口语习惯，向大家介绍原汁原味的英美生活和中西方文化的差异，学到实用的生活英语，因篇幅的原因，分为上、下两册；《我的朋友》不仅可以让你看到英语高手的学习生活过程，分享他们学习英语的成功经验，还可以让你认识许许多多在中国生活的外籍人士，感受他们对异乡的热爱。

中央电视台《希望―英语杂志》栏目播于1999年6月18日。它 由中央电视台社教节目中心教育专题部制作的一款杂志粝英语教学电视节目。它用灵活生动的语言、精彩绚丽的画面、轻松愉快的英语视听氛围和原法原味的英美文化为不同程度的英语爱好者提供了一份英语大餐。

I brought a map with me.On the map,out of curiosity, I dotted all the areas that either I visited or worked trip to.I’ve been through Eastern and Western Europe, to the Caribbean, Canada, all over the U. S.…And now my travels mainly take me to Asia.
I have to say BeUing is by far my best and most favorite city, for the main reason that I come here and I come to see my friends. We have a wonderful time here. It's my favorite city. I always come to visit my friends and we have a good time.
(Beverly is with her friend in a restaurant. )
Beverly: Is it common that they shouted when we walked in the door?
Friend: It is an announcing of the arrival of new guests.Didn't that remind you of announcement for guests in a royal ball?
Beverly: I fell so honored. Is it very typical in Beijing restaurant?
Friend: Yes, very typioal in BeU lng restaurant.
Beverly: It's my first time to the restaurant like this.
Friend: Today we will take some Chinese typical food noodles. You have been to many countries. Have you tasted that?
Beverly: Not in this style. ,So this will be my first time.
Friend: You know why I take you here is to feel the envi-ronment. It's very typical of old Beijing. Look at their cos-tumes, blue color and the sleeves are rolled up a little bit.That's very typical.
