1 Keep a journal focusing on the topic of your group’S documentary or another current evenin your community．The journal should include clippings from newspapers or magazines，pictures and
perSOnal reflections on the topic．
2．Create a short documentary based on a current issue in your school community or in the news．First，get adult perspectives through newspapers，news shows，and／or interviews．Then，ask students to explain the issue from their perspectives．Contrast the adults’and children’s perspectives in creative ways，such as placing an adult’s answer and a child’s answer to the sarne question back to back in the film，or contrasting real footage of the event with a student’s interpretation．
