内容提要：
随着改革开放不断深入和社会主义市场经济的迅速发展，我国对具有较高的专业外语水平的法律人才的需求量日益增长，为适应这一形势的要求，我们特请司法部所属五所政法院校从事法律英语教学的教师编写了《法律英语教程》，以供业已达到大学英语四级或六级水平的大专院校学生继续学习英语使用。
本教程以培养学生阅读和理解法学各专业文章及书籍能力为目的，同时要求学生能掌握一定的法律英语翻译技巧，对中等难度的文章的翻译速度达到每小时1000单词左右，准确率不低于70%。 本书选材新颖，题材广泛。该书在编写过程中注意语言的实用性，且注重增加词汇输入量，提高复现率，加强语感的培养。 整个教材分为上、下两册，由浅入深，难度逐渐增大。上册选文多为法学基础理论简介，下册则着重介绍有关民、商法及司法文书等实用性较强的内容。 目录：
