Charlotte Bronte(1816-55).The most admired of the Bronte sisters in her own lifetime,she was also the most prolific.Her four published novels,which are in part autobiographical,are still widely read today.
fane Eyre was first published under the pen name of Currer Bell in Octobwer 1847.Charlotte Bronte is greatly anmired for her use of language and her emotional honesty;Q.D.Leavis called her"a splendidly original artist",and Anthony trollope saind,"I venture to perdict that fane Eyre will be read among English novels when many whose names are better known shall have been forgotten."

Jane, as a plain-looking but hardworking woman, finally got her love of life-Rochester, who is blind and lame after the horrible fire not the handsome and charming, strong and firm man any more. Iranic, isn't it?

I only think she got a body instead of a soul. Rochester married her for need instead of love. Yes indeed, Rochester once cried her name out but it is out of despair and rage. One can.. 全文(0篇回应)
